PROMISING REGGAE dancehall and afro pop artiste David Tetteh, known in showbiz as Scolongy, has named both Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy as his target in his career.
Scolongy, a versatile singer/songwriter of Ghanaian descent, was first introduced into music like many other artists at an early age. The artiste, who hails from the Greater Accra Region and indigene of Ningo was influenced by his siblings to do music though he has the passion and talent.
David, who is currently under Baul Management, in an interview with the DAILY HERITAGE, disclosed that going to school helped him to nurture his talent and also raise his confident level as a musician even amidst other artist.
He owns eight songs after a year in the music scene; he has songs like Dancehall Mufasa, which is a letter to Shatta Wale.
David said Shatta congratulated him on social media after listening to the song, and “this makes me feel accepted”.
The singer, who says he believes that the Ghanaian music industry is getting recognition in the global market and he is ready to add up to get Ghana to the highest, added, “I have space in the industry and am in to stay; I will be the voice of the voiceless in the street through music. I am not here to compete but I think outshining Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy is my target”.
After the long wait, he is finally dropping the official video for Chedda, which will be released in December.
The Chedda hit maker has all his songs on Soundcloud and on his social media pages as Scolongy gh.
