THE ACCRA and Cape Coast Sports stadia will host next year’s Africa Women’s Championship in Ghana.
The Local Organising Committee (LOC) selected the two arenas for the competition which will be played in November 2018.
The Accra Sports Stadium is currently under slight renovation following some patchy problems there.
Cape Coast, unlike Accra, is in good condition after it recently hosted the WAFU Cup of Nations tournament.
The Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium has been selected as an alternative to the Accra Sports Stadium.
The inspection team of the Confederation of Africa Football will arrive in Ghana in the coming weeks to assess the progress of preparation for the tournament.
Ghana, for the first time, will be hosting the Africa Women’s Championship since its inception in 1999.
The Black Queens finished third in the last edition of the competition played in Cameroon.
