MAN, 30 MURDERED IN OHWIM

A man believed to be in his early thirties has been murdered by unknown assailants at Tigo Junction near Ohwim in the Bantama Constituency of the Ashanti region.
The bloody incident has since thrown residents of the community into a state of shock and mourning.
The deceased identity is yet to be established.
The eyes of the deceased were plucked out by the unknown assailants.
An eyewitness, Ibrahim Salifu narrating the incident to Abusua FM’s Osei Kwadwo said he believe the deceased was killed by a group of armed robbers.
My house is near where the incident happened. I woke up around 8am this morning and I saw someone lying under my plantain farm near the roadside. I decided to find out why he is lying there and I realized that he has been attacked by unknown assailants” the witness said.
Ibrahim added, “the Asuofua police came to the scene but they couldn’t convey the body of the deceased to the morgue saying they don’t have a vehicle.”
The wife of deceased told the police that she stays at Edwira while her husband is a phone repairer at Sofoline in Kumasi.
Meanwhile the residents are calling on the Ashanti Regional Police Commander, COP Ken Yeboah to tighten security in Ohwim and its environs.
