HEAD COACH of Asante Kotoko, Steven Polack, has stated that he will not lose any sleep if he is unable to win the ongoing G8 competition after his side’s shock 1-0 defeat at the hands of Dreams FC.
Richard Addai’s well taken goal on the stroke of half time was enough to snatch all three points and upset the fabulous club in Kumasi on Wednesday.
The Porcupine Warriors missed a golden opportunity to draw level in the game when Frederick Boateng failed to convert a penalty awarded to them in the 65th minute.
Speaking to reporters after the game, Polack congratulated Dreams FC and admitted they were the better team on the day. He lamented his side’s lack of quality in possession and said he believes that was where the game was lost.
He stressed that the tournament is a learning curve for his players and for him to assess them with an eye on the upcoming season.
“Its a pre-season where you look at players, it’s a tournament I will like to win but I’m not necessarily going to lose any sleep over it if I don’t win.”
Kotoko will come up against Premier League Champions Aduana in a must-win game on Sunday in the last round of group matches.
