Tinalet family wins Access Bank ‘Akyɛdeɛ Kɛseɛ’ promo

MS ERNESTINA Sarfo, a midwife and Ms Leticia Adjei, entrepreneur, were declared ultimate winners of Access Bank ‘Akyɛdeɛ Kɛseɛ’ promo last Friday in Accra.

The two sisters known as Tinalet Family from Kumasi, were handed with a cheque of GH¢ 150,000.00.

Mr Dolapo Ogundimu, Managing Director of Access Bank said that he was pleased that the bank was making significant strides towards achieving its financial inclusion of their goal of focusing on underserved and unbanked segments of the population, especially the youth.

According to him, the Youth form a critical aspect of their strategy as they aim to become the leading retail bank in Ghana within the next five years.

“They have access to pocket money, use mobile phones, read a wide range of topics online, and have payment cards for online shopping, etc. We cannot underestimate their potential, and the need to develop tailor-made banking solutions to serve their ever changing lifestyle.

“So as a true retail bank, Access Bank is investing in technology, infrastructure and platforms to serve the youth market. Recently in Ghana, we rolled out our first digital banking centre on the University of Ghana campus and have ensured that we maintain presence on other tertiary campuses such as Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, University of Professional Studies and others,” he added.

Mr Ogundimu congratulated the Tinalet family for winning and the other winners who took away souvenirs, cash and trip to Dubai.

Mrs Matilda Asante, Group Head of Personal Banking explained that the promo has awarded more than just a handful of customers since its launch in July 2017.

She added that over the period, the bank has rewarded more than 2,000 customers through its draws and automatic rewards.

Mrs Asante revealed that the bank recorded more than 60,000 of both new and existing customers participated in the promo, being the highest ever.

“The promotion has indeed been an opportunity for the bank, to not only encourage our customers to save, but also reward their efforts at trying to achieve financial stability.

“During this period of the promos, we have been all over the country, at market places, busy streets, schools, churches, malls and lorry parks, to reach as many people as possible to give them this opportunity,” she added.
