ZYLOFON’S FIRST-SIGNED artiste, Nana Yaw Kumi, popularly known as Kumi Guitar, has hit hard at colleagues musicians who have intentions of leaving the record label.
His outburst was in regard to a recent rumour citing dancehall artiste Stonebwoy’s leaving the label when his contract has not yet expired.
According to him, “Zylofon artistes who leave the label will regret it someday,” he told the host on the show.
The highlife musician, who was a guest on ‘Kasapa Entertainment’ on Kasapa FM told the host, Kojo Preko Dankwa, that creative arts sector in Ghana, which for many years has been neglected, had in recent times seen a massive facelift, especially following the birth of Zylofon Media, which is owned by Nana Appiah Mensah, otherwise known as NAM1.
The ‘Betweener’ singer was sharing his sentiments about a recent video by television hostess Afia Schwarzenegger, who claimed some artistes were performing woefully after they were signed on to the brand Zylofon.
His songs so far under his new management are ‘Brown Sugar’, ‘Problem’, ‘Dream’ and now ‘Betweener’.
