THE COMMUNICATIONS Director for the Ghana Football Association (GFA) , Ibrahim Sannie Darra, says the FA has no funds to organise an international friendly for the senior national football team, the Black Stars.
The Black Stars will not be engaging in any friendlies during the international break, which ends on March 28, 2018.
The Stars have only secured a friendly against World Cup debutants Iceland in June.
The Black Stars were supposed to play Jamaica in an international friendly but according to reports, Ghana pulled out due to lack of funds.
“We don’t have any opponents to play against for this window, Sannie Darra told the media.
“The only match we have lined up will be in June when we take on Iceland in a pre-World Cup friendly.
“It is about cost and this is a decision the country has to make.
“If we don’t have friendly matches we must organise them and pay for them.
“If the funds are not available, there is very little we can do about it,” Communications Director Saanie Daara said.
