VOLTIC GHANA, a leading bottled mineral water, has pointed out that last year it invested $6.5 million into its operations to maintain its top notch quality for consumer quality.

According to the company, since becoming part of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) in 2016, it has further evolved as an exceptional water-production company adding more products to its brand portfolio and further investment into business.

According to Mr Raymond Mensah Gbetivi, Country Sales and Marketing Manager, the company’s mission is to be the best Coca Cola bottler in Ghana and the most valuable food and beverage company as they are committed to refreshing Ghanaians [and other Africans] every day and making the continent a better place.

“To bring this vision to life, Voltic has in recent times invested in a new 24000 bottle per hour production line; added new exciting brands, including Happy Hour, Hollandia, Evap Milk,  to its brands portfolio to enthuse our customers,” he explained.

Mr Gbetivi said with two production plants located in Medea and Akwadum in the Greater Accra and Eastern regions, the company has made itself accessible in all corners of Ghana directly to 566 employees and indirectly to 900 temporary workers.

He explained that franchisees, which are mostly Ghanaian establishments in the small and medium sector, create more jobs for the citizenry.

He said “the 55 franchisees around the county employ more than 2,700 permanent workers directly and over 1300 others indirectly through the value chain. These include the packers, loaders, technicians, administrative, sales and marketing staff at the respective production plants.”

Mrs Joyce Ahiadorme, Public Affairs and Communications Manger, highlighting the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainability programmes said their main focus is on women, water and waste.

“Sustainability, being integral to Voltic’s operations, the company is driven by constant investment in its people, the community and the environment. Over the years, Voltic has contributed to the improvement of livelihoods of thousands of people through employment, and other community investments,”

“The company is to empower 1000 women within its value chain this year; provide accessible water to more than four water-stressed schools and manage its post-consumer waste through its evolve programme and its association with Ghana Recycling Initiative by private enterprises,” she added.
