AWARD-WINNING Disc Jockey (DJ) Vyrusky has highly praised dancehall artiste Shatta Wale and Lynx Entertainment sensation Kuami Eugene for making his hit single ‘Adwenfi’ a dream come true.
According to him, the working relationship between the self-acclaimed dancehall artiste and himself made the collaboration easy and exciting.
Vyrusky expressed more praise for Wale for offering to do the collaboration free of charge.
In a Whatsapp interview with DAILY HERITAGE about how his single ‘Adwenfi’, Vyrusky said, “I am so much excited about how music lovers have received my second single which I can proudly say is now a hit song. The song has hit 1 million views on YouTube.
“I am surprised how my colleagues DJ’s have given it a massive support in playing my music on various airwaves,” he said.
The enthused DJ wrote on his Twitter handle: “A big thank you to everyone for the support. Y’all made this possible and now we made history. 1st Ghanaian DJ to have a million views on his video.”
‘Adwenfi’ was released on Thursday, November 2, last year. The first single ‘Number’, which featured Kuami Eugene and Kojo Cue, is also enjoying a massive airplay.
DJ Vyrusky, known in real life as Kofi Amoako, is the DJ for ‘Starr Drive’, which is aired on weekdays on Starr 103.5FM from 2p.m. to 5p.m. with Giovani Caleb and Berla Mundi as hosts.
He is the official DJ for MzVee and Shatta Wale. He was also the official DJ for Radio and TV Personality (RTP) Awards 2012.
DJ Vyrusky beat competition from DJ Andy Dosty, DJ Mic Smith, DJ Black, DJ Slim and Mr Kaxtro to win the 2017 DJ of the Year.
