MTN GHANA has donated items to the National Chief Imam and the Muslim communities towards the celebration of 2018 Eid-ul-Fitr to affirm their appreciation of their support, patronage and loyalty to them.
The company gave GH¢5,000.00 cash, 10 bags of rice, five cartons of vegetable oil, 15 boxes of mineral water, 20 packs of soft drinks, a ram and airtime worth GH¢500.00.
Mr Salihu Abu, Senior Manager, Customer Services and Credit Management, MTN Ghana, said the end of Ramadan is a time of joy as they extol the values of the Islamic faith, empathy, charity, holiness and patience.
“We at MTN believe that these values help us in cultivating relationships and forging a better and stronger social fabric as a people,” he said.
He pointed out that the company will also donate cash and food items to the regional Chief Imams in Kumasi, Takoradi and Tamale.
He said “the business is also sponsoring the 19th edition of Nima Sallafest. We hope our support would help make this year’s Eid-ul-Fitr a memorable one.”
Sheik Yunusah Osman Mohammed, Technical Advisor, Officer of the Vice President, thanked MTN for the support to them to end the Ramadan peacefully.
According to him, the Chief Imam really appreciates the good works of the company because the Muslims who went to Hajj last year really recommended MTN for their service and that alone makes him happy.
