ARTISTS, PROFESSIONAL painters and stakeholders in the painting field have had a maiden ‘Painter Seminar’, which came off at the TCP head office at East Legon in Accra yesterday.
Organizers of the event, TCP Company Limited, shed light on the different kinds of paints for different purposes, techniques and branding that a professional painter should know.
In an interview with the DAILY HERITAGE, Mr Arif Oran, General Manager of TCP Company Limited, said the forum was mainly targeted at exposing participants to a more modern and creative means of painting.
“We at TCP understand that no matter the quality of paint, a good painter is needed for that superior finish, which is why we are engaging these professionals,” he said.
Mr Oran added that the DYO brand of paints was extraordinary on the market.
“Our main advantage is quality and affordability. You don’t get the quality of paints we sell for the price it comes with. Moreover our painters have found out that they use less DYO buckets than what they work with normally.”
A presentation was spearheaded by Mr Emre Kokturk and Mr Ozturk Terzi, a Professional Painter and tutor with over 20 years experience in the industry.
Three painters were respectively awarded with a 32-inch TV set, a GH¢750 gift card for DYO products, and a decorative brush set after a draw.
