THE MINISTER of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Mrs Elizabeth Naa Afoley Quaye, has said supporting people is the passion that energizes her to be more responsible.
Mrs Quaye, who is also the Member of Parliament for Krowor, made this known when she, together with the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Krowor Municipal Assembly (KroMA), donated food items to the Muslim community in the area.
The items, include 30 bags of rice and 10 boxes of cooking oil, were given to the Muslims prior to the celebration of the Eid-ul-fitr.
“My prayer is that all Muslims continue to pray for the President, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the ministers and Members of Parliament for wisdom so that they can continue the good work,” Mrs Quaye said.
The MP urged all Muslims to be conscious and vigilant as they celebrated Ramadan.
For his part, Mr Bortey said it was time “we prayed for Ghana for peace and unity, togetherness and love.”
The Deputy Nasara Coordinator, Alhaji Alidu Moro, who doubles as the government appointee of the municipality assembly, received the items on behalf of the Muslims community. He expressed gratitude to the MP and the MCE for their benevolence.
“May Allah continue to bless you for remembering Muslims of the Krowor municipal assembly (Nungua),” he said.
