CASTLE MODELLING Agency (CMA) has launched the maiden edition of Miss East Legon today at Casamora Hotel at East Legon in Accra.
The Chief Executive Officer of Castle Model Agency , Mr Derrick Appiah, said the agency is young but with a team who collectively has an industry experience of over a decade and are inspired each day to provide the finest representation of talents and unbeatable service to clients with a goal to exceed expectations.
According to Mr Appiah, the agency is a great company to work with, saying, “What sets us apart is how well we combine unmatched professionalism with fresh perspective to deliver services to match international standards. We decided to bring a fresh perspective to talent representation, model management, casting, styling which enables our clients to flaunt a distinctive look, giving their brand and profile new cutting edge,” he said.
Nana Agyemang (I), Development Chief of Akyem Kwae in the Kwaebibirem District in the Eastern Region, in his address, said the core objective of the contest was to educate and enlighten the ladies about the rich Ghanaian culture and globalization.
“We hope to use this pageant to eradicate bad manners and social vices in East legon and its environs. Our community is very popular (sic) social vices such as prostitution, the use of hard drugs and armed robbery. We want to use this pageant to eradicate such manners,” he said.
Nana Agyemang made a passionate appeal to the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, stakeholders and non- governmental organizations to come on board and support Castle Modeling Agency on this initiative.
Awards and Winners
The winner of the pageant gets an all-expense-paid trip to Dubai plus a pocket money, the first runner-up gets a 55-inch television set, a fridge and cash, and the second runner-up gets a fridge and cash. The other remaining contestants get souvenirs and cash.
Present at the launch were Mr Isaac Mensah from the Atomic Hospital and Achieva Evans, an actor.
