Don’t be instrument of violence in 2020 – youth told

BY PHILIP ANTOH

THE FOUNDER of Last Day Gospel Church at Galelia, a suburb of Kasoa in the Greater Accra Region, Apostle Abraham Kwaku Duah has cautions Ghanaian youth to resist the temptation of being use by politicians to perpetuate violence in the 2020 general election.

According to him, it is high time the youth desist from any attempt by anybody, be it politician or any other political apparatchiks from inciting them to go and insult or beat anybody because of elections.

Speaking at the December 31st Cross Over night with the theme, ‘My Year of God’s Favour,’ he said no matter what politicians or anybody will do, at the end there will be only one winner, “it is like examination or a race, one person must become a victor,” he stated.

“As we started in 1992 in peace through democratic election, we should follow that tenet because no one can use one day to develop a city or nation,” he said.

Contrary to what other men of God have prophesied that 2020 will be a difficult year, he said, the year will be a good year for all Ghanaians and therefore “we must live in peace to enjoy it.”

Apostle Duah called on all Christians to always preach peace and brotherliness to ensure that all Ghanaians will live to see the good testimony the year will bring to its inhabitants.

He advised politicians to always use the constitution as a guide to govern the nation well in other to inherit the good of the land.

The church which was filled to capacity at the crossover night saw Christians offering thanks to their God with singing and dancing to show appreciation of what the Lord has done.
