FROM PATRICE SYLVESTER SELORMEY, HO
THE YOUTH Wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has issued a word of caution to members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) vigilante group engaged in destroying NDC billboards, removal of their flags and tearing of their posters in Ablekuma West and North Dayi Constituency in the Volta Region.
A statement signed by the National Youth Organiser of the party (NDC), George Opare Addo, dated March 10, 2020, they were directing their teeming and dedicated youth across the country that within three days if the destruction of their flags and other paraphernalia continued, they should retaliate by pulling down all NPP billboards, flags and posters in every corner of the country.
“We want to sound a strong word of caution to the NPP and their surrogates to desist from such undemocratic and cowardice actions before they incur our anger and retribution”.
According to the statement, the NDC youth are peace-loving group, but they would not countenance any action from their opponents, particularly the New Patriotic Party, that would be detrimental to the realization of their goal, which was victory in the December 7, 2020 general election.
“We will match NPP boot-for-boot, if we are pushed further,” the statement added.
