THE NATIONAL Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate (PC) for the Krowor constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Mrs Agnes Naa Momo Lartey has predicted that she will win the Krowor seat with over 4,000 margin in the 2020 polls.
Mrs Lartey, the PC for the NDC will battle it out with Mrs Elizabeth Afoley Quaye of the New Patriotic Party who is the incumbent Member of Parliament for the constituency.
She made this known during a health walk exercise she organized to drum home her vision to the krowor constituents and that of the former President and flag-bearer Mr John Dramani Mahama.
They also used the opportunity to embark on house-to-house campaign ahead of the December 7 polls.
Addressing the NDC supporters after the exercise, Mrs Lartey urged residents of the area to vote massively for the NDC because they have the welfare of the populace at heart.
“The truth is that we vote for development and better living standards. That is why we at the NDC call ourselves the social democrats. The welfare of our people is dear to our hearts and this is reflected in our 2008, 2012 and 2016 party manifestoes.
“The four (4) pillars that our vision stands on show the welfare of the Ghanaian people. So if we build the economy and some others who preach economy tell us that what we are building to facilitate the growth of the economy is not what we eat, then it is clear that they are economists who do not know their work or failed in economics,” she said.
Wearing NDC branded T-shirts, patrons of the exercise walked through some principal streets of Nungua holding placards and posters, some of which read: ‘Free primary health, four months maternity leave, ‘Rescue mission’ among others.
The Parliamentary candidate has already launched her campaign on October 11 with the mission of helping the people of Krowor getting their fair share of national development.
