VGMA 2017: Kuami Eugene wins ‘Unsung Category’ award

AHEAD OF the most prestigious music awards scheme in Ghana, Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2017, Kuami Eugene has been announced winner of the Unsung Category.

The Lynxx Entertainment signee battled alongside Cina Soul, Deon Boakye, eShun, AJ Lyricx, CJ Biggerman and Afexi Perry to win the ‘unsung category’.

Born Eugene Marfo, the talented promising musician who rose to fame was a participant in the MTN Hitmaker – Season 5 where he showcased his musical prowess to the world with outstanding performances.

Kuami Eugene will perform at the main event alongside big shots such as Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, M.anifest, Adina, Becca, Nacee, E.L, Medikal, Kofi Kinaata and many others.

According to organisers, the unsung is an initiative to project artistes who are doing well but
have not had the exposure.

Last year’s was won by Adomaa.
The event is slated for April 8, 2017 at the Accra International Conference Centre.
