GHANA’S BOXING sensation, Isaac Dogbe, is fine-tuning preparations ahead of his mega bout against Argentine Javier Chacon Nicholas on Saturday, July 22, 2017, has told the media that he is ready for his Argentine opponent at the Bukom Boxing Arena.

The WBO international super bantamweight champion organised a special media session during his workout at which he said Chacon is the last person he has to clear before getting a shot at the world title.

Nicknamed the ‘Royal Storm, Dogbe will be making the first defence of his WBO international super bantamweight strap against former world title contender and he has promised to punish his opponent, who will go down on the night.

“It is going to be a great fight because Chacon is an experienced fighter, who has thrown the challenge for the world title before but irrespective of that he will surely go down. I want my fans to fill the arena on July 22 because I will make them proud and also defend the flag of Ghana,” he said.

The former Olympian had a workout with his father and trainer Paul Dogboe which lasted close to 35 minutes. The 22-year-old hard puncher also had 20 minutes of shadow boxing.

Dogboe was joined by undercard fighters who included Wassiu Mohammed, Enoch Lamptey, Prince Oko Nartey and Agyemang Prempeh.

Dogboe, who holds a record 16 wins from 16 fights, is expected to slug it out with the Argentinian (25 wins, 3 loss and a draw in 29 fights) in a Final Eliminator towards a world title shot.
